· The fact that the boy is sticking his tongue out at the camera immediately makes the audience feel as though they are back in their childhood. The fact that the image has such an emotive childhood element to it, helps to draw the attention in of the audience, which could result in helping the album sell.
· The image is in black and white, which could connote that the songs on the album may be quite simple to understand.
· The fact that the boy is in a car, could connote that the band enjoy making their audience feel free.
· The white connotes a sense of purity, whereas the black connotes a sense of seriousness and mystery- which could all be possible theme within the album.

· The text used is quite quirky which reflects the genre of the album.
· The title of the album looks as though it is over-lapping the first part of the title. This could suggest that in regards to genre, the band may like to overlap their style with other styles.

· The indie/ experimental rock genre is known for crossing the boundaries on what it includes in their music and how it may not always fit in the norms of the music industry. Therefore, the fact that the band have decided to include such a comical image that also has a message behind it is very indie.

· The fact that a child is on the cover, may cause a younger audience to take an interest in the album, but the quirkiness, may appeal to a older audience.

· The fact that both the title and the tagline have references to film, the audience are leaved wondering what the album is actually going to be like.
· The film references are effective because, they give the poster and its meaning a new dimension.
· “the suburbs” as a title suggests that that is where the band may come from. This is also effective, because it is giving their audience an insight into their personal background.
